Almost one year after minlove's first showcase we are proud to announce the 7th netrelease that aims to give an insight into the patient work of one of the most eclectic and prolific labels out there. Andy Vaz - head behind Background Records followed our invitation to present the labels vision and it's highly unique sound aesthetic that is deeply rooted in the early Motor City sound and perfectly placed into a modern and state-of-the-art electronic music context.

In addition to a few largely unknown artists from the electronic music scene, Goosehound's compilation also presents some familiar artists already featured on minlove within the past months. The first track, 'Very Vrey Whales', is a collaboration between Tokyo resident Ditch and Goosehound cofounder Nicholas Sauser. After communicating ideas and sharing demos for some time, the two began working on music together. 'Very Vrey Whales' is just one example of their thick, bouncing dance floor creations.

Adjunct has finally answered to the kind invitation of Minlove and a nine track compilation has promptly been put together. "Sun Is Moving" is an offering by [a]pendics.shuffle, dealt and jumbled like a skat, a card trick w/ Big Bully's face on the entire deck. Next Altiply dispatches the signal of his sonic apparatus down chambers charged with the felicity of an electric dance party. Mikael Stavoestrand is also atttending the party and taking a small dose of disco bliss despite the fact that he wants to call it a "Bummer".

Sushitech, 2006 and a mammoth netrelease from the fresh and promising project based in London. The split release delivers 7 tracks on Sushitech and 7 tracks on sublabel Sushitech Purple and is titled the "err9r" project. Sushitech and Sushitech Purple categorized without categorization and thus "err9r", Sushitech with it's deep and relaxing anthems to sooth you on your way and Sushitech Purple with it's house and groove driven sound.

Our last release for 2005 features Milnor Modern, a refreshing and truly promisingly project based in Dessau, Germany; initiated and crafted by Nils Scheibe aka Treplec. Milnor has a strong focus on a style called "minimal.deep.freakin´techno" - a surprisingly concise and appropriate description that applies well to the labels output. Also the tracks on this exquisite mini compilation are taking the listener on a truly intense and freaked out mission between subtle, yet funky grooves and more repetitive structures all covered by sophisticated arrangements and inventive sound designs.

For their second release Minlove invited, london based imprint Sued Electronic, to submit new material that would best reflect the label's vision and output. The result is a compilation that offers a very diverse, and highly individual exploration of minimal electronic music - ranging from highly rhythmical, african influenced textures, to the more dubbier end of the spectrum, icy reduced yet quirky melodies and spacious cinematic meanderings.

New York based imprint Microcosm Music is re-opening the minlove netlabel with a quirky, subtle and detailed 3 tracker by Ezekiel Honig, Socks and Sandals and Miskate - combining the subtleties of minimal electronics with abstract dancefloor sympathies. Melting together three concise and unique musical statements, the various artist ep is reflecting the highly diverse output of microcosm - ranging from constantly evolving variations of minimal techno, to textural ambience, and electro-acoustic compositions.
