Konrad Schierling is first and foremost a researcher, most recently in the fields of developmental genetics and recombinant dance music. In his studies thus far on the latter, he has found the transfection of dub inflected washes into jak friendly minimal house to be quite amenable and plans to continue experiments along these lines.

Schierling's live sets incorporate elements of his broad passion for electronic beats, deleting, inserting and generating the tics, kicks, blips and woomps that interweave and whir into a funk frenzy. His previous studies in vinyl DJing and literature analysis have taken him from New Brunswick, NJ, where he represented the electronic music contingent on WRSU 88.7 to Chemnitz, Germany where he rocked parties such as New Guns in Town I+II and Your Dub or Mine and eventually to Brooklyn, NY, where he now resides.

He has been a resident (under the moniker dj movement) at the most excellent and long-lived Bunker party at Subtonic (NYC) for 3 years.
