Goosehound is a New York based label operated by CEDE and Sean Smith. The two met through their involvement with Microcosm Music - Sean is half of the duo Socks & Sandals and CEDE provides artwork for the label's Macrofun series.

Their shared interest in a darker, slightly harder sound than the current Microcosm output resulted in the launch of Goosehound in February 2006 (with a debut 12" by The Suffragettes).
