Pheek - Ideal Love EP (12")
label . Adjunct
Release date . January 2006
Once again a delightfully crackling and playful release by the canadian artist from Montréal. Far away from ingratiating dancefloor sympathies Pheek developes a highly obstinate aesthetic that reflects his extremely unconventional use of rhythmic structures and a preference for twisting and sophisticated sampling.

While the titletrack comes along as an organically shuffling creature, "Idle Love" on the flipside creates harmonies full of graceful ease and warmth that find an excellent final in the more driving, yet subtle structures and arrangement of "Gallery". Overall a highly demanding 12" that is unique in it's own sparkling way and marked by a high grade of acute intensity.
