plk07-35px.jpgNhar - Adrenochrome (12")
label . plak records
release date . october 2005

Nhar's "Adrenochrome" EP released on Geneva based imprint Plak Records is providing a hybrid mixture of subtle melancholic tunes and dry, almost constructed techno patterns, that unavoidably turn into floor-burning anthems after extended play. Sophisticated ideas communicate with accessible and floor-friendly structures and show how deep this combination can be without loosing tension and uniqueness. Further informations about the swiss artist are rare, so we 'll be content to listen to this remarkable and refreshing debut 12", and at the same time we are looking forward (to read and) to hear more of Nhar.

The a-side and also the closing track are good examples of this conscientious construction of 4/4 beats and filtered snyths that is constantly flowing and permutating in time. But the highlight of this remarkable EP is shurely "Unquestionable" - the 1st track on the flipside. Combining mind-melting and slightly melancholic melodies, a head nodding drumline and a healthy dose of funk to get just about anyone moving. -- TIP! --
