"Monumental haircut" the 4th release on Geneva based imprint sthlmaudio recordings is contributed by swiss producer Apoll (yet released stuff on Morris/Audio, Sub Static, Tongut, Punkt Music etc.) and provides three cuts ranging from crispy, more experimental soundscapes to refreshingly floor-burning anthems - ending up in an atmospherically dense, simple yet sophisticated release.
"strange new toys" comes along in this beloved dry yet floorfilling style he is best known for - pushing basslines, crunchy beats and crouching fx-sounds giving an idea about the different shapes and styles minimal techno could have. On the flipside "cut flowers" continues with crisp sampling attitudes and almost dublike structures melting in an energetic track; subtle and moving - truly made for the dancefloor. "everything and sincerity" closes this excellent 12" with a meditative buzzing and droning piece giving us an insight into the more experimental orientated side of Apoll's sound. Excellent release - recommended!

Not sure... Discogs says: "... living in an industrial area (duisburg, a town in the german ruhrgebiet) ..." -> link ... may be the info's are out of date - who knows.
i think apoll is a suiss guy !?! near the lake of konstanz (st.gallen) based. its a fantastic haircut ! really nice production!
