Bruno Pronsato - The Lime Works Vol. 1 (12")
label . telegraph records
release date . august 26, 2005
"The Lime Works Vol.1" opens Bruno Pronsato's 4x12" series on french imprint telegraph records with a fabulous mixture of twisted and detuned jazz-flavoured miniatures and heavy bumping techno structures full of melancholic deepness and abstract dancefloor sympathies taking the listener into unexpected and rewarding new territory.

"Decco Ghetto" opens the 4tracker with bumping beats, flattering claps and pitched e-piano tunes accompanied with subtle female vocal patterns melting beautifully together with Pronsato's unique rhythmic sensibility. The crouching bass of "Lateral Sessions" seems to become a typical trademark for his unmistakeable deep and dark minimalistic style that unfolds his own raw energy without taking up any cliches. "Simpatico" and "Zero Invention" on the flipside continue with a similar feel and theme. Two tracks of stuttering simplicity pushing forward the definition of minimal techno blending sampling virtuosity and his unique taste and feeling for suspense and subtle subversion.
