Since their first 12" "Paléotronique" on mutec_rec three month ago, this is the second release of Monréal based duo Luci (Guillaume Coutu Dumont and David Fafard) offering a mixture of clever rhythmic structures and incredibly twisting jazz-like tunes accompanied by a remix of Dash Dude (remember his debut full length on Morris Audio last year).

"My dry valentine" starts as an odd head-nodding creature and turns gradually into a quirky freejazz-ballad. A marvelous morphose from gently minimal grooves to a firework of twisted instrumental parts spinning out of control. "Jafuzz" continues with a more abstract but still funky attitude and a flow of irresistible hooks and sounds that seem to come from a spaced out pinball machine. Excellent track!
The Remix by Dash Dude closes the 3tracker with a cool head, turning the titel track into more gentle and brittle structures that feel a little bit static in comparison with Luci's extraterrestrial groove.
