After „read_me b/w silver city“ and „silver cities“, this is the third release by Bruno Pronsato aka Steven Ford on Seattle based imprint Orac Records. Two sprightly cuts by Prosanto and a remix by Jackmate (running philpot/phil_e ) that feel like a an icy wind in june - shivering and unexpected at the same time. Highly recommended!
The title track confuses with a vivid combination of filtered rhythms, thick percussion effects and detuned, distored guitar samples accompanied by unreal wispering female voices - assuring the listener that it all „is love“. The remix by Jackmate (aka. Soulphiction, yet released stuff on morris/audio, resopal schallware and authentic music) turns the original into a slightly different mood and direction. At first sight straighter and more resolute in rhythm and structure the rmx emphasizes the surreal athmosphere of "wuorinen" while reducing the track to it’s basic framwork and keeping it's own subtlety. live in cascadia on the flipside is dominated by creeping basslines struggling against bell-like synths and mutated fx, underlayed with the dense ambience of a crowded cocktail party forming a very spezial spooky and devious situation. A dark and intense ep - slightly different from his previous releases, but one of his best.
