About the Author
Christian Meinke studied Visual Communication at the Mediaart/Design department (University of the Arts, Berlin) and works as a freelance designer. Besides his design activities he focused on experimenting with sound and minimal electronic music and spends a lot of time for an extensive research within the tense atmosphere of minimal techno and house. Currently he works as a soundartist and musician for contemporary dance performances (shown at several international festivals) and own projects.
In 2003 he released two first netreleases on an earlier state of the minlove netlabel. After a delay of nearly 2 years a promo for early 2006 is planned; to showcase some new ideas and musically approaches.

Minlove is an independent resource and presentation platform for projects within the context of minimal electronic music. Established in 2003 by Christian Meinke, designer and artist based in Berlin, Germany - Minlove stands for passion for a specific musical style ranging from minimal techno & house to clicks&cuts and various forms of abstract dance music.
This Weblog documents his personal research for innovative and unique projects within this musical context. It describes the constantly changing connection between minimal electronics, techno, influences of popular music genres and cultural as well as technological developments.
The main interest is to present innovative projects and to connect people within these fields of activity - promoting a growing international community using the possibilities of the net. Often, exciting projects gather dust in dark drawers, unnoticed and unheard. Minlove is looking for these hidden treasures and offers space for clever and unique ideas and gives an opportunity to promote projects, labels and records.
minlove : netlabel
The minlove netlabel was founded in december 2003 by Christian Meinke. Until 2004 he used the project mainly to publish own experiments ranging from abstract electronics to more house-influenced minimal stuff.
In the second half of 2005 he reconsidered the concept and orientation of the netlabel and decided to splitted our output into two main categories. While the 1st section is exclusivly reserved for releases that are smoothly attached to our series of label.showcases, the 2nd category is open for everyone and tries to showcase primarily projects that try to mix different musical genres, ranging from Minimal Techno & House, Dub- as well as Funk-influenced forms up to glitchy Clicks&Cuts elements, to create a fresh and unique sound.
Minlove is always looking for artists who fit our musically approach and likes to encourage you to submit your demo material. Please send your demo and a brief description via snail.mail or send an e-mail with corresponding weblinks if you like to provide your material online.
